Luckan is a Finland-Swedish information and culture center. Here you can read newspapers, buy local books and also buy tickets to concerts and theaters. Kirkkonummi Tourist Information is located in our information center.

Luckan Integration – Information and Guidance for Immigrants

Information and guidance for immigrants every Tuesday and Thursday, 12pm – 17pm

We offer assistance with job seeking, finding educational programmes, language courses and free time activities, as well as the right public services for your needs. You can get guidance in person, by e-mail or by phone, regardless of your current official status in the country. All discussions are confidential.

Informal discussion group in Swedish. Snacks and drinks are provided. The café is led by Luckans staff.

DEBUT Studio – Multicultural Theatre Workshops

Saturday 21.1-3.6, 10.30am – 12.30pm

Luckan (Saloviuksentie 3) and Kirkkonummen kirjasto (Kirkkotori 1)

In DEBUT Studio children ages 6-12 learn to improvise and develop their creativity, imagination and team work skills in a playful way. During the workshops the children will practice acting, stage movement and dance, as well as language and speech. Languages required are English, Finnish or Russian. Parents are also welcome to join. The course is free of charge with 15 places available. The first workshop will be held at Luckan. Registration and questions to debut@luckan.fi.

Hygiene Passport in English – training and test (30 €)

Employees working in cafeterias, restaurants, food stores etc. are required to have a Hygiene Passport. Examiner is Marja Laukkanen from SEFO-konsultointi. Registration and questions to michaela.hognabba@luckan.fi, deadline for registration 1.2.

Human Library

Tuesday 21.3, 4pm – 6pm

Come and borrow a Human Book! On the International Day Against Rasism, Luckan Integration and UngInfo are arranging a Human Library. In a Human Library the books are real people, and the purpose is to challenge stereotypes and prejudice through dialogue. If you want to participate as a book, contact michaela.hognabba@luckan.fi.

Would you like to know more about different methods of achieveing a healthy lifestyle? Join Luckans workshop series on how to embrace a peaceful and happy mind. Bring your family and spend the afternoon at Ljungheda. The program includes a theater performance by children. Snacks and drinks for sale. Free entrance.
